4A to Gloria and Ben's Wedding

From Kwun

Since I can't access the blog yet... I just want to tell you guys, it was really a great wedding. Everything is so "fairytale" and romantic. And Ben is the most super "yuk ma" guy you can imagine... gosh, I didn't expect that!

It's an amazing moment for me as well, to witness a good friend for so many years step into another stage of life. Because the wedding ceremony is so substantial, you kinda feel that it really marks the change of his life... from single to MARRIED! Just a huge wow...

And you can never imagine Ben looking so "normal" and close to good-looking. To my surprise, he didn't become too stiff during the first dance and he can actually sing "I do" steadily and smoothly without a single fault. It's actually very touching in a way... it shows how much love he has for Gloria. She must have been your source of strength.

Ben, good for you. I can see that you're deeply and madly bound by the love spell! And I hope this spell will do you good for the rest of your life too.

What a Lovely and Touching Wedding....

This is best wedding I ever went to, (not comparing with my own), was filled with love, joy and lots of touching moments, starting from the church to the banquet, I am so honoured to be part of it....

Well, will just list the key highlights down:
- Lovely weather and a spectacular venue...

- Great speeches/toasts from groomsman and bridemaids - i tried hard to avoid swearing and nudity!

- Ben Singing! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDTlmrbR3Y4 At the end of the song, Ben was going to walk towards Gloria, well, typcial Ben trip over the wires....still manage to kneel in front of Gloria to sing the last words: "我什麼都願意 ... 什麼都願意.. 為你"...touching moment....
- Ben's mum speech was touching also! nearly cried...
- Ben Dancing!

Then Kwun and I had to go to catch our flight....

I did not expect it to mean so much to me. As i said in the speech/toast, I always treated Ben as a younger brother and seeing him getting married is certainly one of the happiest moments in my life. And getting married in such a way, is so typical Ben's style...it could not have went better....

After Cheesecake factory, we went straight to the church, Kwun utilise the time to practice singing while we helped in setting things up.

Was a nice church, the pastor was very funny and made a great sermon on marriage...

Regret that I gave the camera to Eric......all photos are blurred.....

And I asked him to get the video clip of Kwun singing solo! Damn, she was very very good! Have not experience such high level of performance for so long! (well, guys, have to wait for the official DVD)

well, the singing of 'all things bright and beautiful', 'as the deer', 'for the beauty of the earth' ...etc reminds us a lot about SPCC....who would have thought, those hymns can bring back so much memories...

Lots of SPCC ppl, even the Pastor was an SPCC alumni!

Ok, off we go to the Banquet area and of course, we had to stop by Cold Stone!

On the way to Banquet:

The morning session - pick up the bride!

Well, we slept around 2-3 am, meet up was at 9am and need 1 hr drive. so we decided 6:30am wake up for Kwun, 7am for the boys and 8am departure....

Luckily all went well.

Dress up, ready to go for the action!

The drive was smooth and found the place without much trouble.

Special thanks to Eric for the whole trip, his orientation skills is top notch....we were able to reach every place by car, all within estimated time! words of wisdom from him:

(At one point, the car was obviously 兜緊圈....)
Gabriel : Why are we 兜緊圈? You dont know the way?
Eric: Of course not, if i did not know the way, I would be going straight, the reason i 兜圈 is because I know the way....
Gabriel: ..... seems to make sense bor.....

We all gathered at the Gloria's brother's Salon, which is a few blocks away Gloria's Home. Ate breakfast, decorate car and put flowers on...etc, all was smooth

The games were surprisingly accomodating.....went thru in no time.

ok, lunch was provided but we decided to go to accomplish the 3rd stop of 肥仔地獄 - Cheesecake Factory!

Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz

Three of us had a bit of time before the rehearsal, so we decided to go to see the Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz, hoping for some good seafood and a visit to the jail....

First, the seafood sucked...maybe bad choice of restaurant or maybe its simply not good...

and the ferry schedule to alcatraz did not fit our time schedule so we cannot go to the island.....

so, it was shopping, photo taking and sea lion viewing.

then we went to the rehearsal at the church, its a very nice church nei.....
Our Roles:
Kwun - Solo Vocalist
Gabriel - Groomsman 1
Eric - Brother 5

then we went to dinner, and then we went to cold stone, finally some good "food" (had a bad breakfast also, so meals for the day were not good....)

kwun was having some tutorial with the pianist......she thinks she's not singing well, which was silly, Eric and i think its very good already, well , kwun as usual.....

then we all head to Ben;s place for some final conselling, looks like he's all set......

think i wont be able to update this before i head back to HKG.....pls wait up a bit for the wedding details!

Thursday night Part II - SEE RED

Well, after In and Out Burger, we all headed to Ben's new place. Such a warm house, three storeys and nice view.

Auntie and Uncle are there, with Gloria. As usual, we were treating it as our home, noisy and annoying guests! After tux fitting and present giving, we started to play UNO...too boring and switched to poker ...

Well, of course ,cant play money, so its poker tournament with 4th do 100 push-up/sit-up and 3rd do 50 push-up/ sit-up. Kwun was nice to suggest this after we had In and Out burger.....

Game 1 : 4th Ben, 3rd Gabo......
Game 2: 3rd and 4th Ben and Eric (each 75)
Game 3: 4th Ben, 3rd Gabo......

Well, Ben sucked, that was for sure, bitterly, Eric and I blame on beginners luck..... well, we respect the winner, congrats to kwun, we'll beat you tonight! However, the story dont end here....

Just as we were doing our push ups and sit ups, making weird noises.....Kwun was laughing off "see how much i win....!!! HAHAHA!" then , well, we all still figuring why, she started to choke.....and without reason, started to move towards to the piano...bang! hit her head on the piano and 穿左, 見紅 (note: "Hum"穿左頭, 流血見紅)

well, feel sorry for her....moral of the story.....dont be too "hill cheung" after winning.....

Note: Ben still owes us 150 push ups....

Guys, you missed out a lot - more to update later...... Seafood + Alcatraz + Rehearsal today!
